Antique, industrial heaven...

I just sat down to read the latest issue of Your Home and Garden, and came across an interesting article on The Vitrine.  We checked it out on our recent trip to Auckland and I've been meaning to share these photo's from it.  I was in absolute antique/industrial/french heaven!  If you're a fan of these styles, you would  be too. It's full of gorgeous rugged old chairs, lights, numbers, bakers tables, jars etc... such a good rummage.  My particular favourites were the bakers counter (pictured above), which I think would look incredible as a breakfast bar, and the old apple drying rack, which was similar to a bakers rack and would look great for storage in a kitchen or bathroom (inspiration taken from the photo's below).

If you're visiting Auckland, you really should check The Vitrine out. While you're at it, there's a great cafe  not far away, on Ponsonby Road, called One 2 One Cafe.  It's our new favourite when up in Auckland, as it has a sandpit! The kids love it, and we get to drink our (delicious) coffee in relative peace, bliss.

Enjoy your afternoon x

  2. Hi! I have nominated you for the Liebster Award. Pop over to my blog to pick up your questions and button http://www.knotyournanascrochet.com/2013/03/honorary-liebster-blog-award.html

Please note, this is an honorary award and you do not have to participate. In fact, I have seen some blogs sporting a different badge indicating that they have received the award but not participated in the question/answer/nomination part of the process. I have put that badge on my blog post as well. Happy Blogging, Teri Heathcote :)
