Beautiful Ballerina Curtains!

This week I thought I'd show you the gorgeous vintage curtains I bought recently in an online auction.  They're a pair, and made from a lovely cream barkcloth fabric, covered in pretty pink and blue ballerina pictures. I have to confess that I don't actually have a window they fit, but may do one day or i could turn them into a pair of duvets, would look amazing!

On a trip to Christchurch recently, my friend(also a vintage fanatic) took me to The Barn, gorgeous!  Beautiful china, eiderdowns and other vintage bits and pieces to swoon over.  It's well worth a rummage if you're in the area.  She had a pair of barkcloth ballerina curtains, just not in the pinks and blues I was after, but seeing them got me (again) obsessed with finding a pair.  So I saved a search for them and was ecstatic to see these pop up and to become the lucky new owner.  I had momentarily lost all hope as I saw that another trader(who seems to have no limit on what she'll spend on similar items, I've missed out to her a few times!)had placed a bid, but when the auction came to close, she was nowhere to be seen! My luck, she'd probably forgotten!

To see more of what I've been writing about(including fleamarket finds) go here and to see what everyone else has been finding, pop over to Sophies.

Hope you're having a great morning!

Sarah
