It's finally finished....

For this weeks creative space, I finally get to show you my retro highchair in all it's finished glory!  It's been a bit of a 'work in progress' for sometime now.  We have another old highchair we've been using, which we can now offload to the Grandparents, and Poppet can start dining in style.
It needed quite a bit of sanding, a new front and I recovered the seat in Cath Kidston oilcloth.  The oilcloth is actually more of a pink than the red I'd hoped for, but this works really well with the faded red formica.

My heart goes out to all the family and friends of the men lost in the Pike River mine tragedy, as they hold their remembrance service today. Very, very sad indeed.
