A little bit Kiwi...

This weeks flea market finds are neither vintage nor used, but they are iconic.  They're a pack of 25 'The longest drink in town' cups, all for the bargain price of 70c from a garage sale.  The milkshake maker was a garage sale buy a few years back.

These cups were a popular part of kiwi kids summer and a permanent feature on the dairy(corner shop) counter, ready for the next ice cold milkshake.

It seems I'm not alone in my nostalgia, as there is now a vast array of products featuring this iconic image.  I googled some to show you.  The best prices and my favourite finds, were on endemicworld, which is a fantastic design website.  Check it out, the kids toys are great, they even have polkadot stilts!

Here are my favourites....

I thought I'd keep the cups for a kiwiana themed childrens party, not this years though.  Some of the kids are barely(if even) weaned, and certainly not old enough to hold, let alone drink 800mls!   I thought they'd make great party bags too.  Oooh... so many ideas!

For more flea market finds pop over to Sophie's.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
