A cute new seat for Poppet's stroller. Made from polkadot cotton duck (left over from her curtains), a child's striped belt and delicious candy stripe binding. Her doll is now riding in style! Pattern was made from the old seat, which had ripped terribly. Nice not to have to throw the stroller, as it's been very popular.

Hmm, makes me want to buy a little stroller like this, just so I can recover it! Very cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat way to salvage and prolong the life of an old toy! I did the same with my little one's stroller, though it didn't look anywhere near as gorgeous as yours! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely. We have one of those strollers too.
ReplyDeleteI love how there's always a bit of Poppet lurking in the back of your photos. Who needs "Where's Wally?" when you've got "Spot Poppet"?
ReplyDeleteI did the same with a stroller I bought at an op shop for $2, I wasn't keen on the fluro pink. I think is looks great.
ReplyDeleteVery cute :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely - great idea!

Ooh, I got to do this. Have a frame I picked up off the side of the road, but it has no seat at all - have had a request for a 'non-pink' seat from the Kinderboy. Your pink seat does look just right with it though (not that he'd agree of course!)
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! Yes I agree, they need to make them with nicer (and thicker) fabric's! We're lucky we can make our own!
